The less said about Lima the better. We had been warned it wasn't the most beautiful of cities but jeez....
However, a lovely meal, copious amounts of wine and pisco sours, and a bar playing nineties rock classics ensured Ben had a good send off from South America (and a stinking hangover to take on the plane with him).
It was brilliant having Ben with us to experience Bolivia and Peru and really sad to say goodbye at the airport.

Wilf on

As I told you I had the offer as a freshly baked civil service teacher (Studienrat) in Bremen 1971 ( the year Cora was born ) to spend up to 5 or even 6 years in THE GERMAN SCHOOL in Lima. Hede refused and so things changed dramatically from there. But now I feel it could have had some misgiving living in LIMA.
