Total Miles Driven:  2357
Total Time In The Car:  45 Hours, 23 Minutes
On The iPod:  We drove through Gary Indiana....The Jackson 5 of course!
States Added:  Indiana and Michigan
Non-Tourist Activity:  Slept in!!
Serious Bummer Of The Day:  The Edward Hopper exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago was SOLD OUT. Art Institute of Chicago
Art Institute of Chicago
Most Fun:  Taking photos of ourselves in the orb (?) in Millineum Park Millineum Park Chicago

'Bob Can Die Happy' Experience:  Because of the Art Institute being SOLD OUT, this left us time to attend the Museum of Science and Industry on our way out of town.   Anyone who has met Bob in the last 3 years knows how much Bob loves submarines.  At the museum there was a german submarine captured by american forces...the U-505.    Museum of Science and Industry Sub

We are now in Saugatuck Michigan, a very charming, artsy town on Kalamazoo Lake which is just off Lake Michigan.  Sort of like Cannon Beach, Oregon...without all the seagulls.   Saugatuck Michigan

Oddly, there seems to be a large contingent of Harley Davidson fanatics in town.  We would have taken a photo to share with you...but we were afraid!

Still no rain!  B&C

Too bad about Hopper, but great news on the sub adventure. I'm glad you got to tour it, Bob, but remember--the one you're thinking of building is more like a 50 gallon oil drum.
Sheila and I hurried back from Quartz Mountain to see what you guys have done in the past two days. Out of the Heartland and into the City! Sweet Home, Chicago. Did you get to hear any blues?
Quartz Mountain Resort was disappointing. It's owned by the state, and run by 19 year old kids who have never been to anything nicer than a Motel 6. At least that was how it seemed. Nothing ventured . . .
We can hardly wait for your next entry.
