Forgot to check the miles and hours driven...we'll update tomorrow.
On the iPod: The National and a little Jack Johnson/Donavon Frankenreiter mix.
States Added: Illinois
Culinary Experience: Drinking a Beer and eating a hot dog at Wrigley Field
Oops of the day: Drove right by Truck Stop I80 - The Largest Truck Stop In The World! Connie blames Bob.
Turns out missing our truck stop experience was for the best as we were on our way to watch Chicago play Arizona at Wrigley Field! It was a rather chilly day, but the beer and brat tasted great as we watched the crowd...er, we mean the teams...play.
After playing bumper cars in traffic with taxis and pedestrians (crazy crazy crazy) we barely made it to our hotel in the theater district of downtown Chicago. We chose this hotel because it is close to the Art Institute of Chicago where there is a special Edward Hopper exhibition we are hoping to attend tomorrow.
Ate dinner at Millers Pub (we're told this is a Chicago institution)
and fell into bed. It was a shorter day for mileage, but a long day nonetheless. Would love to visit Chicago again if only to get a chance to visit the Redhead Piano Bar.
We'll be back tomorrow. C&B

Chicago Riots in the 60's
One of Dave's favorite spots, Chicago, where he spent some time in Jail during the Chicago Riots in the late 60's. He was in High School then in Wisconsin and his Dad didn't like having to drive up there to get him out of Jail. I took the last trail to Chicago during the 'Monkeys' big time and lost my shoes on the Train. Great memories for us Missouri folk. Have fun....lots to see at the Museums and HOPPER is the best!!!!!! Take lots of pictures for me........Miss you, Travel Safe....L
Chicago, Chicago!
Wow, Lexie - would that be your Chicago 10 riots? Would I love to sit down and talk to Dave, very interesting. Bob & Connie, are you still in Chicago, are you going to a jazz club while you're there?
