Made it to Mumbai (Bombay)

Arrived in Mumbai (Bombay) today and headed for the hotel. Missed the sign for my hotel driver so I took my chances. Ha-ha. The car looked official (I booked it through Avis) but was off the hook. The driver was this young guy in a uniform but chose not to wear any shoes. It was like a highlander and the Indian music was blaring. His english was ...shall we say limited? But with address in hand and many stops we were able to figure it out. As soon as he found out I was from the states he put on quite a groovy western music station on his smoking stereo. I didn't know what was gonna happen but have pretty much figured out that is par for the course on this trip so just relaxed and kept saying Taj's Land End on BAND STAND....he must have asked 20 people along the way. Even taking the time to literally stop and park on a major interstate to hail an auto rickshaw to make sure he was going in the right direction. I just had to laugh. He was trying so hard I couldn't get mad. I arrived and thought the last hotel was off the hook. My gosh. My room looks over the Arabian sea..except for the decrepit hotel across the street and what looks like laundry drying on the rocks, I must say the view is pretty cool.

All for now..must work this week. If anything exciting happens will update before the weekend. I do have a massage booked for tomorrow after work and cannot wait!

Thinking about heading to Aurangabad for the weekend to check out the Ajanta & Ellora caves that are part of the wonders of the ancient world. Will see. Might just site see around Mumbai. Will keep you posted.
