Hi, I got to London Monday morning and checked into The Goring Hotel (http://www.goringhotel.co.uk/home.htm), a very old and VERY British hotel. The conceirge had a good time with the fact that my name was Brandy and he mistakenly called randy....nothing like a short very British older man calling you randy Brandy.
The hotel is in Westminster and right near Buckingham Palace. So, after a quick nap I went there (yes the Queen was in residence) and than walked up to Big Ben and Parliment. The London Eye (don't call it a ferris wheel) is right across the river. After that I walked up to Trafalgar Square, which was a really cool public space. The West End is right there so I walked around and grabbed dinner in a pub.
Very boring but I ended up working the rest of the time I was there ( I know, I know...that little interference). I did have some good food at Ken Lo's memories of China and Mango, a Thai place all within walking distance of the office and hotel. I did manage to get my pub on one night and hung out with some nice English blokes. That was really it for this leg. Photos to be posted later but nothing too too exciting on that end. On a good note, I will be going back on my way to the States for Thanksgiving. A business meeting that will include a day of site seeing for sure this time. all for now....Cheerio
