We arrived in Prague and found out we should have done a little more research as I battled with the ticket machine and at no stage ever looked like getting a ticket for the metro. After finding an information booth I was informed that I would need Czech currency not the euro although some places are happy to except it for a nice little conversion cost. Nice of people in the know to have informed us.

Omar I'm starting to doubt your advise again checked the weather and it looks like it is going to be sunny for the duration of our visit.

After settling into the new apartment it was getting late so we didn't wander to far for dinner. The first two restuarants we stuck our head in you were lucky to see across the room for smoke so after giving them a miss we found a nice little sub basement one that served authentic Czech meals. So it was beef goulash, potato cakes and dumplings washed down with icey cold beer and wine and how else would you finish but with pancakes and ice cream.

We then spent the next couple of days looking through the lovely Prague Castle, Charles bridge and old town centre. It has been a privilidge as the city is absolutely beautiful and a delight to visit. If your travelling to Europe I suggest to put this on the agenda and it is good value for money once you get your head around the currency.

Next Chapter...

We met up with our apodted Czech daughter (who we met and adopted while on a tour in Morroco) this evening and after giving us a short old town tour we were taken to the real Prague pub and were given the introduction to real Czech beer and a dish of how many animals can we cook up in one plate... Bloody FANTASTIC. For our so called real children you need to raise your game as our newly apodted daughter had already paid for our afternoon beer session before leaving (children read this carefully as she is looking good in the inheritence - well what little is left after this trip)

What a beautiful part of the world...

PS. I may owe you an appology Omar as Sunny in Prague must mean not raining just grey skies because I think we only saw the sun once briefly in three days.

Omar on

Guys, Czech Republic sucks. You just have not spent enough tome ther, plus you don't speak the language, so it's hard to appreciate just how broken the place is.

Anyway, if you make it to the vicinity of Brno, my mother would no doubt be delighted to feed you.

Besides, Prague is overrated anyhow.

Brad, did you want to buy some QR shares? Anna Bligh reckons they are great value.
