Laze in the sun watching the scenery drift by... go swimming or snorkeling in the turquoise waters... see kingfishers, dolphins and flying fish... visit ancient rock tombs and romantic ruins... Step onboard the Şenkaya and you can spend a week soaking up the relaxed atmosphere of the South Aegean. Indulge yourself in this unique de-stressing experience not to be missed. Ideal for groups of friends, family or co-workers. Why not organize a family trip, a birthday celebration, a special treat or a work incentive?

We offer a choice of 2 itineraries between May and the end of October:

Marmaris - Fethiye - Marmaris (7 nights)
Marmaris - Datça - Marmaris (7 nights)

Your holiday begins when we meet you at the airport (Antalya or Dalaman) and transfer you to the Şenkaya at Marmaris Harbor. In consultation with the captain, the week's program can be adjusted to suit your interests and achieve your preferred balance between shore visits, water sports and relaxation.

If you are particularly interested in the historical sights, we can organize an Archaeological Guide for one or more days (please enquire for prices).

Cruises early in the season enable you to see a wide selection of wild flowers such as asphodels, orchids and poppies - while later on, the sea is warmest and best for swimming.

Marmaris - Fethiye - Marmaris (1 week)
Day 1 : Transfer to Marmaris and settle in on the Şenkaya.
Day 2 : Sail to Ekincik, with a visit to Dalyan Kaunos (ornate Lycian rock tombs) in the afternoon and a chance to have a mud bath.
Day 3 : Visit either Batık Hamam (famous for underwater baths) or Bedri Rahmi (famous for kings' tombs) all day.
Day 4 : Fethiye, with an option to visit famous Ölüdeniz ('The gem of the Turquoise Coast' - a stunning crystal-clear lagoon with a unique curved beach and surrounded by pine-covered mountains - paragliding available). Spend the night either in Fethiye or go to Kızıl Ada.
Day 5 : Spend the day relaxing at Twelve Islands (The Bay of Cleopatra's Baths), going on to either Tersane or Ağa Limanı.
Day 6 : Breakfasting en route, sail to Kadırga Bay, spending the night at Paradise Island.
Day 7 : Return to Marmaris for the shops (don't miss the local honey!), historical sites, Turkish bath, etc.
Day 8 : Transfer to airport.

Marmaris - Datça - Marmaris (1 week)
Day 1 : Transfer to Marmaris and settle in on the Şenkaya.
Day 2 : Cruise to Kadırga (a quiet bay) for lunch, then on to Bozukkale (ancient Loryma, a ruined Hellenistic city well worth exploring) for the afternoon and night.
Day 3 : Visit Kargı, swimming in the clear water, before going on to Datça for the rest of the day, with an opportunity for shopping.
Day 4 : On to Aktur and Bencik, where the picturesque pine forests around the clear waters of the bays make an ideal place for water sports.
Day 5 : Visit Selimiye, Bozburun and Ada Boğazı: each one a small traditional village with crafts, restaurants, etc. Bozburun is a typical fishing village, particularly famous for building gullets. There's also a chance to visit a famous local waterfall.
Day 6 : With a dramatic entrance to a narrow fjord-like bay, Serçe is an ideal bay in which to spend a full day for water sports, going on to Paradise Island in the evening.
Day 7 : Return to Marmaris.
Day 8 : Transfer to airport.

The Şenkaya is a wooden motorized sailing vessel (traditionally known as a gulet) built in 1995 on the Turkish Turquoise Coast. This 25 m vessel offers a luxurious standard of comfort and safety. It is equipped to sleep up to 16 guests in 6 double-bedded cabins and 2 twin-bedded cabins (see below).

The Şenkaya can be chartered for 1 or 2 weeks for itineraries cruising the South Aegean. The 'house party' style atmosphere onboard is very informal and guests are made to feel at home. We offer free use of a canoe, plus snorkeling and windsurfing equipment. You are also welcome to fish off the side of the boat.

The Şenkaya can go under sail whenever conditions permit or use the engine when required. The maximum cruising speed is 10-11 knots.
The guest accommodation comprises outside double or twin-bedded cabins each with its own bathroom including wash basin, shower and new push button vacuum pump toilet. All the cabins have been recently refurbished and now include air conditioning. If you prefer to sleep on deck, feel free! You will awaken in the morning to the sounds of nature all around you.

The salon is tastefully fitted, there are fitted carpets throughout and the bar is well stocked. We also have an ice-making machine. For guests' use we have full stereo CD equipment.

All the food is freshly sourced from local markets. Much of the food has been organically produced and we prepare lots of healthy salads and pasta dishes. Fresh fish is available at least once a week. The chef and stewards take much pride in cuisine they serve onboard.
Enjoy your meals in the salon or outside on the spacious quarter-deck at the rear of the vessel. We also hold a barbecue at some stage during your week's cruise.

The Captain is English speaking and has much experience in these waters after many years in the Navy. We carry VHF radio, GPS navigation equipment, depth sonar equipment, a new radar system and a mobile phone. Each cabin is equipped with life jackets.
