So we got up ultra early this morning .. checked out of our hostel at 6am .. caught a train to Glasgow Prestwick airport and caught our Ryan Air flight to Dublin. We picked up our hire car and navigated our way successfully (again!!) out of Dublin. Half way to Galway we were stuck for 2 hours in a traffic jam - we travelled about 1km in two hours - and when we got to the end of the traffic jam there was NO REASON for it!!! Bizarre ....
We arrived in Galway at around 4:30. Checked into our hostel which seems nice. We're in a 6 bed female dorm which is very clean which is a start. But we've learnt to not judge a place to early - we thought our Glasgow hostel was awesome until at 11pm a group of annoying teenagers in the room next door started a party. We know we're nannas and all .. but they were REALLY loud!
Once checked in we walked to the main part of town. Its a cute little town!! Old town streets with cobbles and lots of pubs. Still has a definite fishing village feel to it. We both tried a Guinness tonight with dinner .... stupid Guinness .. it just tastes like beer!! And neither of us likes beer so it was doomed from the start :o) We get up tomorrow and drive down the west coast seeing the sights along the way. Staying in Killarney for the night. Will put pictures and video from Galway up when we have more time in the net cafe. Using the free cafe at the hostel and its only 15 minutes at a time. Love to all!!

That's Ireland for you. :) I managed to find a road leading off the freeway eventually which was a great idea as it turned out because we managed to see lovely litle villages along the way depsite it taking lon... show all
