Hi all,
We landed in London on tuesday after a very very long flight, not sure if my butt and back will forgive me! London put on an english day when we arrived - raining and cold, but the following 3 days have been sunny and quite beautiful. Did the norm, buckingham palace, trafalgar square, parliament and westminster abbey, and did a trip down to greenwich which was beautiful! Also gained some culture by seeing les miserables on the west end. Picked a car up from Fulham and drove to Lincoln (navigating out of london completely successfully to our surprise), mind you we still dont know the speed limits as there are no signs!! so fingers crossed we havent been booked.
Spent a night in Lincoln and checked out their cathedral which was enormous, drove the next day to Durham via York where we checked out the york minster and a disappointing castle. It was tiny! Durham was a cute little town, again the cathedral was magnificent. We have driven today from Durham to Edinburgh and have just checked in to our first dorm experience (worried our stuff will be stolen as no where to lock up our luggage). your video of Rachelle and Edinburgh is fabulous!! thanks so much. Nice to be able to 'walk' the trip with you this way...very clever.
I have a feeling you girls might even return to Scotland but the weather will close in and I recall Gen being stuck in some town near Glasgow as the roads were blocked by snow and ice and horrible winds.
Keep them coming girls...we love it.

Thanks for the fabulous video. It was so nice to see you faces and hear you speaking. Next video, can I suggest you play the thing on you both and talk about everything you did since the last video.
I hope I am able to make this work.
Mare you would be proud of me. I managed to get a dvd player and after three hours of fiddling and trying I finally connected everything up the right way and... show all

Sounds like u r both enjoying your trip so far and I'm sure it will only get better. It has been busy here. Kim and Cameron's wedding was lovely. Kim looked beautiful and could'nt wipe the smile of her face. Kye was gorgeous. Is growing up so fast. They r a lovely family. Josh cried (losing his big sister & playmate was too much for him!). Dad booked us into the dingiest accommodation in Sydney!! ... show all
