We drove up to Beuly next to see a medieval priory. It's quite impressive. And also rather funny that there are signs all over the town for the visitors center, but they didn't seem to think the priory behind it was important enough to mention.
The priory has many impressive walls standing still, and also has tombstones inside the church itself. There are markers to show where the hosts were stored after being consecrated at communion. The window arches are works of art, they are so beautifully made.
I did jump when I rounded a corner from trying to open a door and found myself staring in at a dead man's effigy behind bars in the one complete room of the priory. I got a second scare when I realized there was a second effigy right up against the bars two inches from me. Their forms are very lifelike.
