We head to the ferry with some souvlaki's in hand for the journey. These ferries are typically late, and the souvlaki's dont make it thru the 45 minute delay. Eaten!
The ferry itself is a floating fortress with 5 levels so cafes, shops, lounges, gambling etc, nearly like a proper cruise liner! Below the decks trucks and locals cars are all packed in to be brought to Santorini. The cruise is only 2hrs long which passes quickly with a couple beers and a game of monopoly on the Ipad
Our initial arrival at Santorini is hectic being thrown into the throng of everyone trying to disembark into this tiny port, but once we find our transfer we are on our way snaking up the steep countryside to find our hotel only a couple kms away.
The view from our hotel is magnificent. Why would you go anywhere else? So we sit around in the pool for the rest of the arvo.
A Mexican restaurant we drove passed earlier calls us back with its big "all you can eat ribs" sign! Everyone loves Mexican. The sunset from the restaurant is beautiful, and so are the memphis style ribs being served up by the Colorado born restaurant owner! J and Dan only make it thru 1 and a half racks before calling it quits. Apparently the record is 5 racks. That seems impossible!
