Arrived in Melborne to stay with a friend of mine. Her family have been really welcoming and it is glad to have a few home comforts for a while.
Took the train into Melborne and did some sight seeing it was a really hot day!!!! There was a free tram that went around the city which you could hop on and off. First stop the Welsh Church to my amazement!!, Next stop the Melborne Gaol famous for the imprisonment and hanging of "Ned Kelly", Hard Rock cafe for lunch, Next I visited the Shrine of rememberance first erected in rememberance of the service men and women who died in WWI as a place where the people can go to remember there loved ones who died overseas. Since then there has been additions for WWII, Vietnam, Korea, etc.
The next day I visited Healesville sanctuary where all native australian wildlife can be seen. Went into Melborne for the nightlife which has an enormous casino called the Crown. More thumbnails ...
