Sentosa Island

One of the days that we were in Singapore, we headed out to a place called Sentosa Island. It's a large island that is accessible from the marina by either walking it, or for those who are feeling a little lazier, there is a monorail or cable car. We caught the MRT to the final stop on the line, and walked through a large shopping centre to access the cable car. The cable car first headed to a viewpoint called Mount Faber, and then headed over to Sentosa Island. The cable car gave great views of the city, and it looked even more amazing because it was nearing sunset.

There is lots to do on Sentosa Island, but because we had left it quite late to get over there, we didn't see all of it. The last cable car back to the 'mainland' was at 2130, so we tried to squeeze in as much as we could. There is also a huge Universal Studios theme park over on the island, which again, we got a good view of as we came over in the cable car

We wandered around the island, decorated with its bright lights and entertainment. We also saw a show while we were there called 'Songs of the Sea'. It was a half an hour light show on the beach with actors and a fire work display at the end. It was quite spectacular, even though it was aimed at a younger audience.

We caught the cable car back over to the city and got a chance to see the night lights of the city from up above. It looked great.
