What a surprise, no one has called me about my camera. But to be honest, in this case, I actually think that it might just be lost in the jungle rather than taken by someone. I like to think that the troupe of monkeys have it to be honest. So today I went and filed a police report. After my previous experiences with trying to report stolen items i.e. Cambodia where they told me they had to interview everyone I was with and threatened to throw me in jail if I was lying, I expected it to be difficult and that I would probably have to pay for the pleasure of losing my camera. However it was so easy. I just went in, explained in basic Spanish that I needed a report for my insurers and he handed me a form. I filled it in, he stamped it and tada! Cahuita police I love you.

After I went for coffee at this cute chocolate/bakery place I've been to a few times and was rewarded with the biggest blended latte ever. I got to talk to some nice locals and Canadians too. Cahuita is definitely growing on me, everyone here is really nice and it's so laid back. Plus the national park and beaches are lovely.

I went back to the national park anyway as I wanted to go and retake photos of some of the snakes etc. However it was a such a nice day that I decided to chill out on the beach for a bit. However as soon as I got settled these massive clouds rolled in. Of course! I soon gave up and went in the hunt for snakes instead. Awesomely there was a new one where I knew there was one yellow eyelash viper, score! However I forgot how rubbish my spare camera is, I miss my Pentax!

I spent most of the evening just chilling out with people at the hostel. Shockingly I have dorm mates tonight! No sleeping alone in a dorm for me. Well for tonight anyway. Tomorrow I'm popping back into the sanctuary as Judy was ill when I left and I didn't get to say goodbye. I'm hoping they'll have space and I'll be able to stay for longer. If not its over to the pacific side for a few months.
