Finn left super early this mining for the 7am boat, I was of course annoyingly awake. Went back to sleep and headed to the beach in front of the hotel where Yafit had just been and said she'd got attacked by sand flies. It was ok when I got there, i've got enough mosquito bites, don't need sand fly additions. Met the girls for lunch, there were loads of hummingbirds flying about, pretty cool. After I headed to the dive shop to sort my gear out and the girls came to say bye before they caught they're boat to Utila. Also ran into Ryan and Stacey who I met on my last day at Finca who are also diving with me today. You're always running into people here!

Headed out on the boat with a divemaster trainee called Rudy as a buddy. Was really pleased to find that I still roughly remembered how to set up all the equipment! :) There was a family who were coming with us as well. Went to a site called Moonlight, my eats weren't too bad on the way down. Was very happy! Unfortunately I was stuck behind the family who had an underwater camera and ended up taking forever because they kept stopping to take tons of photos, whacking the coral as they went! There were upsides to being at the back though as me and another dive master trainee (from Chesham!) were the only people to see a turtle. I thought that like when I learned to dive that you had to follow the instructor but apparently when you've passed your actually allowed to wander off a bit! Awesome, especially when your stuck behind the slowest people ever! Saw loads of lionfish too, which I expected as they have an over population problem here but was still pretty cool.

The second dive was UHmazing. Went to a site called Blue Channel which has loads of swim throughs-really small spaces that you effectively swim through into other areas. My ears were great on the way down, got there before everyone else! Was really apprehensive about the swim throughs at first, they were literally person size but I managed them all fine with only a few scrapes on my tank and my regulator got stuck on a rock on the first one but got free pretty quickly. At least it wasn't ripped out my mouth! Saw a huge moray eel, which are stupidly freaky but I actually didn't mind being face to face with one under the water. Saw a gorgeous lion fish and tons of little silver fish, the ones that group together and form massive balls as well as tons of other cool fish.

All of the divemasters said that I was great under the water, thy I had really good buoyancy especially for someone who'd only done 6 dives and that I just glided about looking graceful. Yep me, graceful! Who would have thought!

I was freaking knackered after and the dorm was empty when I got back, surprise! But eventually two guys moved in, Jacob, who is friends with Finn and who I met in Livingston and an english guy called Steve. Tried to find some cheapish food with Jacob, who was wearing socks pulled up... Big no! Found some pretty good quesadillas and ended up taking some home for lunch tomorrow. Yes I have become one of those people who has to eat left overs for lunch because they can't afford food! This is what you have done to me Roatan!

Came back and went to bed at like 9pm, diving is tiring!
