Today I met up with Perla who I first meet when I came to Mexico in 2008 with Simone. She was part of the entertainment staff and as we were there for 3 weeks they kind of adopted us, took us to house parties etc.

Her and her boyfriend picked me up from the hostel and we went to their friend kikes apartment. Went for a really nice breakfast where I ate way too much. Mexicans apparently have steak, eggs, cheese, nachos and chilli sauce for breakfast...

Went and got some beers after I attempted to find a cash machine that worked (fail) and then headed to the beach. When we got there it was baking, the boys went off to play volleyball (mentalists). It was super busy as it was a Saturday and the sea was sooooo blue-lush! Unfortunately it got super cloudy and remained that way till the end of the day. We all still managed to get burnt though.

Basically spent the day in the sea, drinking beer, playing a bit of volleyball (managed to hit a couple of people-oops) and listening to the music from the bar. Kind of reminded me of phi phi!

After we headed for a drink with Perla's french friend Nicholas (who works in the dolphin park here, I pointed out I didn't agree with it and he said that while he didn't also he thought it was basically the same as having cats and dogs as household pets-not really....)

Finally went for dinner, we were all starving. Went to this mexican place where I stocked up on margaritas and ate some proper Mexican food. I have no idea what it was called but it was yum. One thing was this bean soup (that I accidentally stole from Nico), tortilla with kebab meat in, super soft beef and this ham fajita thing with amazing melted cheese. By the time my main meal (chicken fajitas) came out I was morbidly obese and dying but kept eating anyway! I also managed to shove a large mouthful of a super spicy dip in my mouth thinking it was guacamole. Thanks kike (he told me it wasn't spicy).

Pretty much fell into a food coma afterwards but we had a walk round, went into this cool red lit hotel and bar (looks like a modern brothel). Went for a drink and then went home for bed, tired! Cozumel tomorrow!
