When we stumbled into town we did not know that they were hosting an "all town" trick or treat. All the merchants were handing out candy so moms, dads and kids alike were all out in full force to take advantage of all the fun. We saw some great costumes and had a fun time hanging out on the street and just looking at people.
We also strolled through the Old Smoky Distillery--they legally make moonshine there. I had a taste of a "moonshine cherry" It was pretty terrible!!!
We decided to head out of town before things got too wild and came back down into Pigeon Forge, which has grown so tremendously from when I was a kid. It is a solid string of country theaters, mini golf, go cart racing, arcades, inns, restaurants, souvenier shops and RV parks. A very hoppin, busy, busy place anymore!
Time to head out of town and head to South Carolina to visit my Aunt Ina. This drive takes us through Smoky Mountain National Park, another beautiful drive across the Tennessee/North Carolina border. Again, or rather still, I am in awe of the beautiful foliage. This is definitely God's paintbrush at work.
