Sometimes we get a bit behind with the updates. I like the way our roommate put it. He said that means we are travelling well. We are living. Not just writing about living. Although, we should really write more.
Yeah, the perception on temperature here is actually kind of funny. It's about 40 degrees outside. It's enough for a light jacket basically. I'll wear a good long sleve shirt and pants, feeling fine. Or a t-shirt, with a light jacket that I remove when I get to the school (there is heat in the building). And everyone thinks I am not dressed well enough. If I sneeze, well, then surely I should "pay more attention to what I wear," (which means dress warmer).. It was funny at first, but after shoking multiple people on a daily basis, it actually begins to get irritating. "Aren't you cold?!?"
Last week, one of my students asked me if I was cold. I was wondering what she was wearing. It was 45-50 degrees that day. She had two layers of long john pants under her jeans, a long john shirt, a t-shirt, a long sleeve shirt, and a sweater!! And she still had her jacket on! Unreal.
Actually, though. It is getting chilly here. It's in the forties, probably low forties at night. It's probably going to get colder, so we really should actually pick up a jacket. We didn't even pack any. We are from minnesota. If the palm trees can survive winter here, how cold can it possibly get?? However, I imagine it will hit the 20's eventually, and we probably should get a jacket and a hat for those days. Plus we want to go to the harbin ice festival (or at least I do, but I am dragging eric with me) and that should be legitamately cold. That will probably be in jan/feb.
