On our way to the bike place we pit stopped for this waffle/donut hybrid of amazingness. Omg it was so so good!! It was a warm waffle with a hint of cinnamon or something lovely, with just the right amount of chocolate icing on it, covered in a healthy layer of the best kind of sprinkles ever. (Check out the photo of it) We call it a waffnut or a dounaffle.
Biking in Amsterdam is scary. We almost got hit, smashed, fell off, you name it. But we had so much fun!!!
Got lost. Twice. Ended up in opposite direction of destination. Both times. The first time we got half way there
Ari: if you had to pick one place to live at this point in time where would it be?
Annie: One place to live?!
Becca: At this point in time?!
Funny they both were shocked by different parts of that question. We enjoyed reliving the last 18 days of our journey.
Back on our bikes: after several wrong turns we end up at the Van Gogh museum. Yay we made it! Ari wasn't feeling museumy so Becca and Annie went inside to look at the art. When we got to the entrance we ran into our friends from Praha. Crazy. After galavanting around the Museum for a bit- while Ari enjoyed the sunshine and hot cocoa outside- we had to climb the giant Amsterdam sign and get some photos.
We actually looked at a map and made it home in record time, without getting lost. However Annie and Becca almost biffed it on the grooves intended for the trams. Hilarious. Especially when the tram had to beep at Annie as she was wobbling out of control.
We stayed in for dinner and made scrumptious tacos & taco salad :). After getting ready we headed back out to the Red Light District so Annie could experience the wonders that it is. Another fun night had by all.
