So chad and I found out that if we had arrived in Louisville on Saturday night we would have been able to see the largest firework display in the country "The Thunder Over Louisville."  Oops.  Our Bad.

We spent the morning walking around: checking out the Louisville Slugger Museum and the Ohio River.  We popped over to the Muhammad Ali Musuem (closed Mondays) and peeked at 4th Street Live (tourist trap).  Our final stop in Louisville was The Brown Hotel... famous for their Hot Brown sandwich.  Friggen delicious.  I'll let you observe and read about it on your own:

On our way to Mammouth Caves we decided to knock off 2 distilleries off our list.  Jim Beam and Heaven Hill.  Of the 7 (boom, 7) distilleries we went to, I think Beam offered the most extensive tour... plus the grounds we quite nice.  Their samples were a little on the weak side (didn't get to sample Basil Hayden) but the tour was enjoyable.  Heaven Hill also provided with a nice tour and I think Chad and I both agree that this was the most informative of the bunch.  Even during sampling (3 "choice" tastes) the guide was descriptive and open for questions.  I guess he was a bit of a bourbon snob but who cares.  He's a old man from Kentucky.  I bought a bottle of Evan Williams to take camping that night.

Off to the caves!
