What a day and what an amazing city!

Started with an early morning walk around Kensington Gardens; the highlights there included squirrels and the Peter Pan statue and the King Albert memorial statue, quite impressive.

Then i trotted round and had a look at the Royal Albert Hall. I liked that around the top of it, it says something to the effect of "God gives people with talents their talents, all glory goes to Him." I had a look at the National Science museum - the health exibit was very interesting- learned lots about Iron Lungs, unbelieveable and also visited the Natural History museum. Lots of fossils and dinosaurs and stuffed birds and the like. Also an interesting exibit on Human Development. Had a foetus blown up by 8 times which was really cool.

I went round and found Harrods next. Wow, what a shop. Even the escalators are intricatly decorated! Had lunch there - a 65p bread roll, and possibly the nicest one i'd had in my whole life!

Next was back to oxford st where I had a look right down the bottom and then found borders and bought a good lonely planet london guide...I then caught a red double decker bus (the front seat up the top -how exciting!!) to denmark hill, which is where the salvation army officer training college is. I met a lady who I met at church yesterday, Debbie Green, an Aussie from Petersham corps, who is a lecturer there. She took me on a tour around the training college - built in 1929 and the lift is one of the oldest in the country - it's actually hired out to filmers sometimes - then to a nearby pub for tea. Veggie burger!! Yummo!

Parted company here and then went to southbank with the aim of taking some evening happy snaps. The picadilly line (goes to the airport) was out of service due to security concerns. Got a couple of night shots but my battery ran out unfortunatly. Still saw lots of nice things. Much the same as last night, but it's not old yet! Walked over london bridge (of nursery rhyme fame - not to be confused with tower bridge, so i have learned). And it did actually fall down. Not tonight, but a really long time ago. Half of it is still there, but the other half is in the us and also in some church somewhere in london I believe.

And there you go. Day three in london.
