Perhaps now out of habit, another early start. Had some strawberries then squeezed out of my tiny hotel room off to church. I grossly overestimated the time it would take and I clocked in at just under 2 hours early! How's that for keen! But that was fine - I had a wander around and looked at the shop windows (on the Lord's day!) and went to McDonalds (banana shakes are good!) and sent some free emails and before long, I heard the bang, bang, bang of a bass drum, soon joined by it'sother team mates in the Regent's Hall Brass Band!! Wow, what a happy suprise! It was so so so exciting and lovely to hear a brass band and familiar tunes!

I went to the meeting, which was quite a good meeting, about being part of God's family. A little boy with a mohawk by the name of Hudson Taylor was dedicated. It was so nice to be there and in that sort of environment! Had coffee after and people were pretty friendly, I met a new zealand girl and an aussie officer who i am meeting tomorrow.

I had another look around oxford st, this time had a good look at selfridges - it was HUGE...lots and lots of nice things! I revisited camden markets and bought a few overpriced things...Met rob in the afternoon, we went for a walk along the Thames. Saw the eye, the parliament, st paul's cathedral, shakespeare's globe, london bridge, the big ben and my personal highlight, IHQ! So so so exciting! Rob was quite amused at the comparison between my excitment over st pauls and my excitment over IHQ, he said "I mean, st pauls is 200 years old and nice and all, but the salvation army building-!"

He took me to an aussie pub - Walkabout -  for tea. Had a veggie burger which was lovely.

London at last
Glad you're having a good look round London and glad to hear you were that enthusiastic about getting to the meeting on time. What was the name of the lady officer you were meeting on Monday from Petersham? Glad Rob has been able to be with you as you look around further....glad also that you were able to do a repeat visit to the camden markets....Mum
