Am aboard the QF1 on my way to Bangkok with a greater goal of reaching London. Am not quite halfway into the journey yet, but it's been a nice flight so far - fairly smooth, good inflight entertainment, finished an ok book, a lovely meal of braised kidney beans and rice and most importantly I completed my first sudoku successfully!!!

I can't believe that I'm here, on a plane to London. Seems kind of surreal that Paris, the Eiffel  Tower is only days away!! I've been counting down sleeps since 63 around Easter. I remember being excited in Jan 06 that it was coming next year, and then in Jan 07, that i could say it was this year and now it's just about here!

How the heck?
How the heck could you do that in the plane!?!?! can you go on the internet while you're in the air?! why can you do that and not call people?! why doesnt the plane go down?
