After the friendly and laid-back atmosphere of Nepal, we returned to India with some trepedation about the chaos and hard-sell. Thankfully, Kerala has been a lot less hectic than the North; little pressure from people trying to sell things with the majority of local men playing cricket on every spare piece of land - no standing around and gawping. The architecture of Fort Kochi is influenced by the Portugese with many brightly painted Catholic churches around the place, and chinese fishing nets along the shore.
Small fishing villages line the coastline of Kerala with clean, picturesque beaches on the Arabian Sea. Picking freshly caught fish for a sunset dinner on the clifftops in Varkala will be difficult to beat.
To celebrate our anniversary we hired a houseboat for an overnight cruise around the Alleppey backwaters, the inland waterways lined with palm trees and extensive birdlife. The crew of 3 really took care of everything, all we had to do was sit back, eat well and enjoy the world passing by. Who would not remain laid-back in Kerala?!

Greetings from the wet and windy SE Kent Coast
Sorry for not posting a message sooner, but I was given a myspace URL by Chaz 'Please check this out hayks' Bingham, which I recently found out you weren't even using...!!! As Nick and Beef said Sarah is expecting, the due date is exactly the same as Evie's so they'll be 2 years apart, maybe even to the day....!!!!
I've been looking at the pics and reading your reports you guys have submitted and it looks like you're having a ball. Happy Anniversary by the way, Like someone else said, I can't believe it's been so long since your big day.
Anyway, We're doing fine, evie just starting to speak and can say Daddy, Mommy, nanny, Milk, Ball etc... She's cute as hell, but then I'll bias. She'll not know what's happening this Christmas, but I think she'll enjoy unwrapping the presents (don't we all..!!!)
On the Footie front, O'Neill's men go marching on. When I was up I went to see the Middlesbough game, and there were positives (Barry is excellent, Mellberg is really skillful, Petrov is great going forward)there were also negatives (McCann making silly mistakes, No firepower up front at all, Osbourne (New youngster) is dogshit), so it'll be interesting to see what happens in the Jan transfer window. (Rumours include Robbie Keane, Jermaine Defoe, Lucus Neil, James Milner)
Anyway, better get back to work.
Paul, Sarah & Evie
