BELINDA'S BLOG
Well it was back to the very early starts as we had booked to go on a tour to the Blue Mountains and the Jenolan Caves. I think Greg and jenny have done quite a good job of describing the day..... I've just ready their blogs before I added mine at the start!
It was damp and foggy in Sydney this morning - and for much of the day. The Blue Mountains were quite impressive - when the fog lifted!! We did get to see the famous rock formations at Scenic World - they are called the Three Sisters and are meant to be Three Aboriginal women turned to stone by their father to save them form some evil spirit!!! Nice. We were lucky that the fog had cleared just enough to see them on the way down in the cable car.
The Jenolan Caves that we went into were brilliant. I'm a bit of a cave fan - I must have been a troglodyte in a previous life! Apparently the Caves at Jenolan are the sister caves to the ones at Cheddar in the UK. I feel an affinity!!! We only went in one of the caves - there are a huge range of caves, but we only had time to visit the one! I could have stayed all day!
We had a long and boring coach journey home. The kids had driven me mad as they'd been teasing each other all afternoon. Their squeals and screechings and cackling drove me nuts! They ignored me every time I asked them to behave - so I took their Gameboys away and ignored their pleas - for a while at least!! I hope they've learnt their lesson!!!
I also had the horrible task of packing up the cases again. Am now off to bed very tired. At least the next time I pack the cases it will be for the last time and we'll be on our way back to the UK - so I can just shove it all in and squeeze it shut!.

Today was not actually that boring, in fact it was quite good. We went to the Blue Mountains and the magical caves.
Let's start at the start. The blue mountains were really good, because we went down the Blue Mountains in a cable-car, which we had all to ourselves (except for the driver-man). We then went up in the steepest train in the world (i wouldn't go down it). It went through a cave, and it went pitch-black, which was the scariest part, and it went faster than I thought it would. Secondly, we went to the caves... magical caves.... which were brilliant. The cave was originally pitch black, but the special lady turned on some magical lights, which were quite effective. When we got in the middle of the cave, there were lots of stalactites, that looked like caterpillars. Near the end of the cave, the was a wombat skeleton, that had been moved there (scarreeeey....). But then the lady turned on lots of cool, different coloured light, which was really really nice. On the coach home, It was SOOOOO long, even though i was asleep through most of it. When we got home, mum ordered a pizza from room service, which was disgusting to me. But my brothers and mum seemed to like it. Well, It's very late so I'm off to bed, Good Night.

Hello, today we went to the Blue Mountains, and the Jenolan Caves. =]
We got up, had some breakfast, and hopped on a coach to the mountains, which took a couple of hours. When we got there, we tried to get the train down the mountains, but Phillip, and Jenny chickened out. Wooses. Anyway, the train there is the steepest train incline in the world, the steepest bit being about 52 degrees in angle, which is more vertical than horizontal. So we got the cable-car down instead.
Now the Blue Mountains are some of the most impressive mountains in Australia, but, we couldn't see ten feet in front of us, because there was a really deep fog. So we took the scenic cable-car to see... fog. Great way to spend $50... watching... fog.
Then when we got to the bottom, we walked around to the lower train station, and got the insanely steep train back up to where we started. The train wasn't a suckish as the cable-car, as it went up a really steep cliff, really fast, and it did it backwards. So it was really cool. Anyway, then we got back on the coach to drive to the caves, for about an hour.
When we got there, we wandered around for a bit, before getting some lunch, which consisted of a soggy, nasty tuna sandwich. Then we went on the tour through the main cave, the Lucas Cave. We followed our guide around the damp dark tunnels, looking at interesting rocks, and learning about how they were formed. There were hundreds of steps, and it took us about an hour and a half. I won't go into detail about that, as it would bore you, but suffice to say, it was quite cool.
We headed back to the coach for another two hours trip, back to the hotel, but we had annoyed mum, so we weren't allowed our DS's for an hour. THE HORROR!!! We got home, and went upstairs, where we ordered a pizza from room service, and i ate half of Jenny's, because she didn't like it. Yay. Then we spent two and a half hours packing our bags for tomorrow, as we are leaving tomorrow, for New Zealand. Yay. Then I typed this. Yay.
