Who'd a' thought I'd move to Texas and get into Tai Chi-style action? Martial arts thrive in El Paso. In 2007 I encountered Texas Tai Chi and took some free classes there.
This time around, I attend free Chi Gong classes every Saturday at Tien Shan Tzi to increase energy and relaxation levels. The temple is only 10 blocks from my place. I attend religiously. And I recommend it.
This movement's popularity in El Paso shatters my stereotypes of Texan's "King of the Hill"-cartoon lifestyles. What's more, they can 'do' martial arts in both Spanish and English. Very respectable.
