Where I stayed

Hopewell is more like a retreat than a hostel. Great hospitality, being greeted with tea and the most amazing chocolate and banana cake. They also treated us to green shelled mussells both evenings that we stayed. We were in fact going to stay just one night but decided that it wasn't enough.

We played the honeymoon card yet and again and it actually worked this time, they presented us with a bottle of champagne which we enjoyed in the hot tub on the first evening.

Went kayaking here and found a secluded beach where we stopped for an hour break as I (Zoe) was absolutely exhausted. James wanted single kayaks and I wanted a double (for obvious reasons so that James could do all the hard work). We got singles so James still had a hard time as had to put up with my moaning that I couldn't go any further. Anyway, we eventually made it back to the retreat having been gone for 3 hours! Owner even got a bit worried about us being gone so long. James went again the next day, but on his own this time (much more realxing and enjoyable for him on this outing!)
