Hola a todos.
Estamos en los últimos preparativos antes de salir el día lunes 14 a Santiago de Chile. Ha sido toda una experiencia el tener que organizar todo lo referente a la logística y equipos, para no pasar ningún detalle por alto.
Queremos contarles algo acerca de nosotros:
Edgard: Soy venezolano de 37 años. Trabajo como guía de turismo de aventura. Este es mi primer viaje fuera de Venezuela, y creo que lo estoy haciendo a lo grande con esta aventura en Chile y Argentina. Le compre la idea a Frances quien es la culpable de todo esta locura! jejejeje...! Ya he ido a algunas de sus aventuras y la verdad "no lo he pasado mal". jajajaja...!

Frances: Soy una inglesa de 41 años, pero vivo en Venezuela desde 1990 - y también soy venezolana nacionalizada. Recientemente dejé mi puesto como Investigadora en Biología en la Universidad de Oriente, al noreste de Venezuela y he decidido celebrar mi libertad del trabajo (aunque sea breve) con la realización de este viaje de dos meses. He hecho una que otra excursión corta en bicicleta (4-5 días), pero eso es todo - así que vamos a ver hasta donde llego. Por cierto no se quien es más loco; la que vende o el que compra!
Hi to everyone
Well we´re in the last throws of preparing all the gear and stuffing it into rucksacks all ready for the big trip. The major challenge being the decision of what not to take. We leave at last on Monday 14th January after weeks of pouring over maps and guide books, and hunting the web for information about where to go and how to get there. Hope you enjoy the Blog - but first a little about us:
Edgard: I am a 37 year old venezuelan and work as an adventure tourism guide. This is my first trip outside of Venezuela - and I think Im doing pretty well going on this adventure to Chile and Argentina. It was Frances´s idea so she´s the one who´s guilty of all this madness! I´ve already been on a few of her adventures though and nothing´s gone really wrong - yet!

Frances: I am a 41 year old Brit, but have been living in Venezuela since 1990 - and am also a nationalized Venezuelan. I recently gave up my job as a ecological research scientist at the Universidad de Oriente, in Northeastern Venezuela and have decided to celebrate my new found (if probably brief) freedom from work by going on this two month trip. I have done a couple of 4-5day long bike trips but that's about it - so we´ll see how we go.
