Quiet is not the word. The siesta is rigourously enforced here in the afternoon, even the dogs stop sniffing each other for a few hours!
The taxi from the bus terminal into town was held together by Isopon and gaffer tape and they still have rag and bone men using the old horse and cart, a-la-Steptoe and son.
We decided to stop here to break up the journey to Salta, so we are certainly glad of the rest. To get here we had something like a 12 hour bus trip over rutted dirt road.................it is vvvery ssssore ooon ttthe bbbones, added to this the maniac driver decided to freeze everyone by blasting out cold air.
The town itself is quite nice once everything comes back to life and has loads of artistic sculptures dotted around the town, very picturesque.
Well now that we are rested it is time for another bus ride, this time it's only 12 hours weeeeee.
Next stop: Salta
