China, Wow, our time here is only short but it is already clear that I am going to have to come back here to do it properly (although apparantly you never can cos there is so much to see). We are limited to two places, Beijing the capital and then we are moving to a place called Xi'an to at least get to see some of the rest of the country.
Beijing is really nice, the food for a start is pretty amazing, me and Toby have spent most of our days eating kebab type food from street sellers, amazing Ducks in the evening from really nice restaurants and then even managed to fit in a few Mcdonalds here and there. There doing a deal on McChicken Sandwiches at the moment that basically means it would be rude not to get involved. But seriously last night we went out and ate all sorts of noodles, dumplings, pork chilli stuff and the local brew Hans (which sounds slightly German) and it basically costed us peanuts. Unlike everywhere else on our trip we have the amusement of the translation of the menu as well, my Chinese isn't quite as good as I would like!
Ok apart from eating and drinking we have done some touristy stuff as well. We went to the Great Wall. Now I don't know who named it the "Great" wall, some might say he was a big arrogant, but to be honest he wasn't wrong, it is as he simply puts it "Great". We did a 10 km walk along it to try and get rid of some of the annoying tourists and although at some points tiring, it was truly spectacular, I hope the photos do it justice, it was a bit misty but I think they still look pretty good. Right me and Toby are off to shoot some hoops with some Chinese kids, we are truly bad and it is the sweatiset thing you will ever see in your life! Fun though, shooting hoops is basketball by the way mum, not code for "drugs"
