Nazca lines at Nazca
Entry 24 of 79 | show all | print this entry |
I saw the Nazca lines at Nazca, and they're smaller than I expected, and although I'm glad I saw them, I'd hate to pin my hopes on that site making or breaking someones trip as they're a little overrated. A lot of mystery surrounds the lines as to whether they were created by the ancient Nazcan civilisation, aliens for landing strips, or a crazy old lady who spent 50 years of her life in the desert studying the lines and what they meant, and personally I think it was her who had a lot to do with it, and she's single handedly created a major tourist attraction in South American, so good on her!
