Having been in Sweden for more than a week already and never having time to go into the great city of Stockholm I desided that ,that would be todays mission. I woke up early with that exited feeling in my tummy.
After beeing struck by the cold swedish wind and almost missing my station i arrived in Stockholm.

It is truly a beautiful city and is built on 14 islands. With my handy Rough guide to europe in hand I was walking down the streets of Gamlastan like a true tourist. I saw the guards changing in front of the palace and visited the monostary where the kings marry. The old town was magnificent with hundreds of littel streets and cornerbars.

I took a ferry over to the other side of town and saw a extreamly fancy hotel that was called KAK ( shit in afrikaans )  Next I went to the unbelivable Vasa museam were the 400 year old boat lay almost untouched by time. My visit to the modern art museam and its special Andy Wharol exibition left me breathless. I had studied all these artists for the last 3 years in school and the impact of seeing the actual work in real life was extraordinary.

Just walking trough the streets of Stockholm also proved to be one of the most magnificent ways to experiance its calm ,serene athmosfeer filled with beautiful artitecture and history .
