Kareoke, beer and a welshman called paul.....

After a two days enjoying rural asian life with mud baths, bamboo rafts and stuff, we went on to hong kong. I don't know what we were expecting but it wasn't what we expected. I don't know if it was just our budget concious ways, but we found it wasn't geared up for us, so it was just as well our friend paul from uni was there on his way to China!! The big welshman him self, fondly known as Uncle Travelling Paulie provided all the entertainment we couldn't otherwise afford. We whisked him off to the town and drank copious amounts of alcohol and were still singing kareoke with a live backing band at 6am. Glorious.

The night did have its down side though, as Hel and i had our first fall out of the trip over something quite petty, but were able to sort things out soon after and all is now right as ninepence. i think 2 months was pretty good going to tell the truth.

we were glad that we weren't staying there much longer, and we probably won't be rushing back until we have money to burn as you don't get much for your dollar.
