Back in Beijing... and it's HOT!

I CAN SEE THE SKY.. AND THE SUN. THE SKY IS BLUE... I HAD ALMOST FORGOTTEN WHAT COLOUR IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE CONSTANT HAZE SINCE WE GOT HERE!

Instead of humidity we've had 38 degrees... so at midday we did what all good english-folk should and went for a walk in it. 4 litres of water later we arrived at the Forbidden City. Guess what.. more scaffold. Never visit a place that might be visited by the media within 2 years, cos you won't see anything but builders loafing around.. i could have done that at Wembley.

It was seriously impressive though, more chinese roofs than you could shake a stick at Mao at the forbidden city

. still haven't sorted the memory card situation, but bought a bandana. It made me feel a bit better.

I have also run out of clothes... in the humidity of the last week or so, everything i've warn smells badly and weve not had chance to wash anything. So a massive load went in today, which should be sorted for tomorrow. It's mundane i know, but its a key issue here! i even had to buy MYSELF some new boxers today. I don't think i've ever done that. Always relied on christmas and Girlfriends for that!

Back to China then: Helen bought a kite, and we flew it on tianamen square. Susi got jealous so she argued a guy down from 300y to 30y... only problem was it didn't have a string. a draw back i think you'll agree. So i ended up carrying back to our hostel.

pheew. still hot here, so i'll leave it there and open a beer. Go easy!
