My God it's getting hot here... UB is now in the 30s. Were running for shade and draining water bottles for fun. So much for the average summer temperature of 15 degrees. That National History museum lied to us!
The UB National history museum however is quite interesting, not only for the closed Camel exhibit, mountains of unlabled Bauxite or the Astronaut (we couldn't work out what he had to do with Natural History). They have a really good Paleantology section with some impressive dinosaur fossils, not to mention the comedy translations. Not bad for 50p though.
So, what have we been up to... well, it appeared that to get a train direct to Beijing requires either the same amount of money as the plane, or a 2months notice, so weve bought tickets to the border, where weve been told there are hundreds of buses waiting to take us across to China
Back to the hostel for the remainder of our Chill-Out Sunday we watched about three movies with a great group of guys. UB Guesthouse is great if you want to meet up with folks. And then of course came the match... Decked out in 15000 tugrug england shirts (7quid) we took our seats at Dave's Place to watch our first England game of the tournament. It was an anti-climax, but were through and had a good night with Nam, Lottie and Dutch girl and Curtis, a huge black american fella teaching english over here, known to his students as Harry Potter because they can't pronounce his name.
When we got back to UB, it was planned that we'd stay up and watch the Holand game at 4am, but after watching yet another DVD with Nam till 3.45, i really couldn't be bothered and missed the replay this morning cos i was still in bed.
Curtis just took us to Mercury Market near the circus which was an experience, it's abit like the one in blackburn, just less drunk people and a bit more haggling!

Come on England!
. Then we either have to find a train to beijing or another bus, both of which are in plentiful supply. We leave tomorrow at 4.30pm, then go East, but back in time: Explain that if you can, please!Back to the hostel for the remainder of our Chill-Out Sunday we watched about three movies with a great group of guys.
