Just some thoughts I had last night before going to bed...

To walk the old city and just get a bite leave me with anticipation. Circle the city and get a taste...See the people, the walls, the gates. Smell the odor - sweet and sour - to touch the rocks, feel the streets, hear the sounds. I am here. A place that is much different from me - yet connected in that my story begins here. My story of redemption. It is a small place geographically - yet big in importance and impact. To over half the world this is considered sacred ground.

Do I stand and see the past? Is it even possible in such a covered place? Claimed and kept - the city once raw now is contained - but the message is not kept. It is alive and its life comes from the story of this place. I want to feel this story. In the people and places. To see the past, to experience it - like it was. The garden, the tomb, the cross, the life - that is why I am here.

Welcome
Greetings to this side of The Pond, Mike! I'd never followed a travel blog before, so finding yours fun and interesting. May try the same in future.

Annie splits for two weeks in France to visit family Satty but promises to be back in good time to help me welcome you and Kristen to Lisbon! Lookin' forward to it!

All bests,
Sandy

Hey Hoser, Beauty Shootin' Eh.
Hello Senor Ramsey,

Great to hear and see a bit of your trip from here. Things at the DenSem station are pretty status quo, I mean, other than the 'break in' at your apartment over the weekend. We stopped by to get the choco ice cream, and must have left the door unlocked, because we found a middle aged man passed out on your kitchen floor the next day. It looked like he found his way into your underwear drawer, because he had on a camoflage man-thong and an undersized Wildcats tee-shirt. He didn't take anything else, so I think we are all sqaure
Glad to know you are doing well, sorry to hear about the scabies. Hopefully its not a seven-year itch, or anything in the avian flu family.

Talk to you soon, I gotta go eh, my burps are giving me whiplash,

Hosehead

Jealous
Mike-
I wish I could be there with you. It sounds like you are going to learn so much. I can't imagine walking in places where Jesus walked. Or reading about something in the Bible and saying, 'Yeah, I've been there...' I will be praying for your time there that you will 'feel the story.'

Love you man,

Uncle Day Day

Wish I was with you
Mike, It's so neat to read your heart!! I can't believe you're there. I think from now on I'll picture you in a white robe and sandals with some seriously long hair. I will pray that you have a supernatural encounter with the living Jesus who did walk around those streets. We all miss you!!! Did you find a fan? I know how much you hate being hot!! Are you a little impressed I figured out how to respond!!!
