Exhausted from the traveling day yesterday, we slept in this morning, getting up just in time to run down to breakfast by 10am. Megan then went back to bed, but I went out to explore the town.

I am not sure if I was just being paranoid, but I felt very like I really stood out as a tourist, and in the end was too scared to take any photos, as everyone kept looking at me strangely. It doesn't help that everything is in Russian, who use the Cyrillic alphabet, which is nothing like ours. So with thick snow covering everything, strange signs, and people staring at me, not to mention the dirty old buildings everywhere, this is the city where I have felt most of place.

Anyway, I made my way down to the train station to attempt to book our train tickets to Moscow. I had written down all the info in Cyrillic on a piece of paper, and somehow it the girl at the ticket window was able to read it, and I managed to buy the tickets without too much hassle (although she wouldn't take credit card, so I had to go out and draw money and go back). Feeling much more confident I walked back to the hotel.

It is once again a cloudy day. I am dissapointed because I wanted to experience an arctic day where I could see just how high the sun would actually rise, but I haven't seen an outline of the sun through clouds. Anyway, looking at the weather it looks like Moscow is warming up for us, with 4 degrees expected for our arrival. We leave tonight on a 36 hour train ride. This time we have booked beds.
