We woke early this morning and checked straight out the hotel. Called a taxi to take us to Kamari Beach - the area where Megan wanted to stay.
After a bit of looking around Megan found a cheap hotel on the beach front. We dumped our bags in the room and went out for a nice breakfast of Waffles and fruit.
The rest of the morning and early afternoon was spent on the black sand of the beach and by the side of the Hotel pool. We then went to try and hire one of the millions of scooters but were told we needed an international drivers license, however for a car we didn't. So we hired a Suzuki Jimny instead.
We then drove across the Island to the town of Oia - famed for its spectacular sunsets. A volcano in 1600BC formed Santorini as it is today. The huge cliffs of the Caldera form an almost complete circle creating a very dramatic setting. Oia is a typically white town perched upon these cliffs.
The sunset were treated to was average, and because it was shared with about a thousand other people packed around the white walls, there was very little magic. We drove back to Kamari beach again.
