We drove through a really high, snowy road HaRVy nearly fell of the edge!!! [Up to 10,000 ft like the Italian job film, but my driving was fine, honest. How they noticed whilst playing DS all the time I don't really know - D].

Finally we arrived @ our campsite Upper Pines. That day we didn't do much we thought about going on a bike ride but we decided to do it the next day. We looked @ the view and had a picnic in the meadows. The next day we went on a bike ride to the waterfalls - Yosemite Falls, which are the highest in America.
Me, dad and Oliver climbed on some rocks it was quite hard we only saw the lower falls but we could hear the upper falls. We rode on till we got to a lake we swam in it.It was freezing cold we also saw some people jumping of a bridge so after some persuading we took leap of faith and jumped.
On the way home we cycled past some meadows and saw another BEAR!!! It was a black bear but it was brown! That night there was a bear in the campsite. We did not see it but the boy in the tent next to HaRVey was sitting outside, watching a film with his earphones in when the bear came past. It was so close the boy could hear it's breathing and turned round to get a bit of a shock!! We thought the bear might have wanted to see if it was the Yogi Bear film.
The following day we went rafting along the river. This was very easy as the current carried you along and we did not need to paddle much. We took a picnic and played on the river banks. We also jumped off another bridge which was very very high. The river was still cold! The river runs along the bottom of Yosemite valley, and the views are very pretty. There are granite cliffs surrounding the valley, and these huge rock domes which many people come to Yosemite to climb.
The day after we took the bus up to glacier point which meant we had a lovely 5 mile walk back to the Valley which was all down hill, but still 4 hours long. We had to drive through a bit of a forest fire which has just started from a lightening strike and they are letting burn to clear the old vegetation and let new plants and trees grow. This meant some of the views were quite smokey.
At the end,  we completed another National Park Junior Ranger programme and got our ranger badge. We went for a refreshing cool swim in the pool and then back to the campsite for a big camp fire.
After 4 great days camping in Yosemite we drove off in Harvey.

See you in San Francisco!
