Today we went on a beach to go on a boat to see some whales. It took us one hour - in a fast bouncy speed boat to get to where the whales had last been spotted. We saw 3 whales, a
mummy, baby and another adult.

They were all Humpback Whales. We found them by seeing them squirt water out of their blow holes - they were quite difficult to spot at first.

Then they  were easy to spot as they were lifting their tails and noses.
We saw 2 of them lift their whole bodies out of the water and back in.It was like they were playing.
They made big hugh splashes when they went back in.

They came quite close to the boat at one stage - it was VERY exciting.

Dad managed to get a few pictures of the whales and lots of pictures of the water!

Afterwards we had a great snack of an apple crumble muffin.

This was one of the best days of the trip so far!
