So after Maine, I got back home and had some time to work on the trucks. But it's been so frickin' cold out that I don't want to stay outside for too long. Touching the metal almost gives you frostbite. I don't have a large outdoor heater...yet. But now I'm planning on getting one if I'm going to be home for much more of winter. I had tried taking the small space heater from the bathroom out into the garage. That didn't work so well. It made a very small area of one leg warm if I stood right next to it. The weird part is, it's been beautiful the last few days here, yet very cold. And the weatherman keeps saying, "Oh, it's going to snow tomorrow!", but it keeps not snowing. Oh well...

In other news, Jacqui and I are heading to China this weekend. We're flying to Atlanta Sunday night and we're going to stay overnite there. Then its off to Guangzhou, China by way of Tokyo. We're gonna fly to ATL the night before because the flight to Tokyo is at 9:50am...and the earliest flight out of Albany will only give us a 50min layover on Monday morning. Not a chance I want to take when there's only one good flight a day. And even better news, I'm using some of my Delta Skymiles Platinum Upgrade vouchers to get us Business class seats on the Atlanta to Tokyo leg....BOOYAH!! That is a 14.5 hour nonstop flight. Talk about a good deal. Jacqui's ticket only cost $1400, but she's getting to sit in business class. That's normally a $6000 ticket! So my little upgrade voucher for her is worth $4600, and the one for me is worth $4100.

The sad thing is, these two little scraps of paper are now worth more than our IRA's due to the recent market downturn. But that means that we're now buying in at a huge discount. Just makes you do a double take.

Anyway, I'll write more from China...gotta finish getting everything ready.
