AAAAAhhhhh....I'm stuck in Brazil!!!

. So as I'm wandering around the Sao Paulo aiport, I stumble upon these two plate glass doors that look like the entrance to a VIP lounge, but they say "Fast Sleep" on the front. So I head inside and what do you know, it's a pay by the hour(or other block of time) motel!! EUREKA!! The girl at the counter tells me I can have the room until 08:00 for $120Reals. I bargain with her and flirt and flash my southern grin and get her to give me a room for $140Reals until 14:00. So this is where I am right now. It's not a bad place but the rooms are little more than closets. There's no communal showers, they have separate lockable bathrooms to clean up in. They've got TV and Internet connections. At least I didn't have to sleep on the airport benches outside check-in. And I got to shower, which the person sitting next to me on the GRU to JFK flight should unknowingly be very grateful for. As long as nothing goes horribly wrong in the US, I should be home by Wed afternoon.
So last night I'm flying from Porto Seguro to Sao Paulo so I can catch the 22:40 flight to JFK. But when I get to the airport in PS, they tell me the flight is going to be 2 hours late. Ok....fine, I've got a 3.5 hour layover in GRU. I can make it. THEN they say that instead of being a direct flight, now we're going to make a stop at Belo Horizonte to pick up more passengers. So now I'm thinking I'm screwed. And I was. We got into GRU half an hour after my flight to JFK left. Then it took another 40 minutes for the luggaged to come around the carousel. So now it's midnite, and I'm stuck in the airport with another 36 hours at least ahead of me before I can arrive at home. I call up Delta and get put into the next flight to JFK which is at 22:40 on the 23rd. At least I get the upgrade to business class (hooray for being Platinum). But now I've got to find a place that will let me crash for the next 16 hours. Which I think will be harder than it looks because it would encompass one night and into the next day, which most hotels will charge you for 2 nights
