Back to MS, and almost got a ticket...Whew!

So now I'm in Hattiesburg and New Augusta with one of my coworkers. We're running some efficiency tests on equipment. Tedious work, but there's always a beer or two to be had at the end of the day.
Hattiesburg, Mississippi. That's where I laid my head down at night, but was working in New Augusta. On the way from Birmingham, I got pulled over on the west side of Tuscaloosa. I've got a NY driver's license by this point so I figure he's going to be a hard-ass on me. He asks me why I was speeding and I go into a story about how I just got back from China and now I'm down in Birmingham and then I've got to drive to Hattiesburg so I'm kind of out of it. I show him my passport to confirm this. He asks me for the registration for the car. Ok. Start looking...this is a rental and I can't for the life of me find the registration or insurance. I show him my rental papers. He looks at me sideways, shrugs, and says "Be safe on your flights". WHEW!!!
