Utica isn't as bad as their reputation would make it seem. At least not what I've seen of it so far.
I saw on the news that the Crown Point bridge was going to be demolished just a few days after Christmas so Jacqui and I planned to drive up to Port Henry and watch. Unfortunately the weather didn't want to cooperate, so instead of seeing a great explosion, all we saw was blowing snow and then heard the loud boomwatch the demolition.
Then when we were back home in Glens Falls trying to figure out what to do for New Year's Eve, Jacqui got a message from our friend Jen to come out to her and Dave's place for NYE. After checking flights we went ahead and booked some cheap flights and Dave helped hook me up at the Sheraton hotel for $60/night. We went ahead and made a weekend of it so that we could hang out and catch up. This seems to be a tradition now....spending NYE away from home...
The hotel room was really nice, even if I didn't think to take pics of it. I did think it was really cool that the desk had plugs so you could easily plug your laptop into the desk, and that was connected to the TV.
Hope everyone had a great year in 2009! This is the end of this blog and now to the beginning of 2010.
