Back to Thanksgiving.... We headed down to Jacqui's grandma's house in Doylestown as has become tradition when we're in the country. Since the Russian job (sounds like a good movie title) keeps getting postponed, I was able to make it. I had been planning on going out Black Friday shopping, if nothing else, just to experience it. I've never been out on Black Friday before. And that didn't change this year either. I couldn't find anything in the sales ads that was good enough and high enough up on my want list to go out at 3am to stand in line. I thought I'd buy a TV, but the ones that were on sale didn't live up to my stringent requirements.
So what we actually did was go out to the Mercer and Fonthill Museums
But we needed to get off to Fonthill...which was actually Mercer's house that he turned into a tile museum. He collected tile from all across the world. And the entire house was built with concrete. We only did a tour through the house there but it was interesting. I wouldn't have spent much more time in that house though. But it would have been a great place to bring the dog to romp around.
Oh, and the highlight of Thanksgiving, Jacqui made the chocolate-mousse-esque pie from the back of the Nila Wafers box....it is AWESOME!
