Then we got on the overnight ferry to Portsmouth...
Took another fast ferry over to Jersey just for the day. The island is beautiful and has a lot of shops and restaurants. First thing we did when we arrived was take one of those little city tours on one of the open air trolleys that look like trains. Then it was time to find some food. We ended up going to a quick sandwich shop and then made our way down to Market Street and the Fish Market. Bought ourselves some Jersey fudge and chocolates and Jacqui got a new dress. Then we walked back and had dinner at the cafe below the Pomme d'Or Hotel. I had rump steak with melted cheese and avacodos...and I'm sad to say I was more impressed with the grilled veggies that came with the steak than the steak itself. Jacqui had some past which she liked a lot. Then it was time to make our way back to the ferry terminal. It's just a short walk. We did take the time to do high and low tide pictures in the harbour. Spent about 7 hrs walking around total...
