Ok...gotta brain dump some thoughts, you're welcome to comment on any of them.
Some of the passengers from the US Airways plane that crashed in the Hudson are considering suing the company for emotional distress. HELLOOOO!!!! They saved your life!! And then they gave you $5000 to pay for your lost luggage, not questions asked! I'm sorry but these litigious idiots are going to ruin the world. That's going to cause the airline companies to be reluctant to give out compensation when things go wrong...because some person might see that compensation as an admittance of fault. To anyone who would sue the airline because birds flew into the engine (not for poor airplane maintenance...that's a whole other can of worms), get over yourselves. S#!t happens! Be glad your pilot was good enough to get you out alive.
Experian is going to stop letting you see your FICO score. You're not even going to be able to PAY to see it! I'm sorry I'm posting this a little late, but starting on February 14th, you can't purchase your REAL Experian FICO score through MyFico.com. If you try to purchase the score on Experian's website, you only get the PLUS or VantageScore...which is NOT your actual FICO score that lenders use to judge your worthiness. Click the link above to read Liz Weston's article about why this is important
Jacqui and I talked last night, and we're going to postpone the European rail-riding trip that I've talked about for this summer. She wants me to finish the restoration of the truck this summer so that it will be finished. If we get the opportunity to sell the house, it would be very difficult to move with two trucks in pieces. So I'm planning to spend probably 3 months working on the truck. We'll probably take a shorter trip in the US to go visit friends and family...but we most likely won't be spending 50 days straight vacationing this year.
