I don't know why...but I am completely out of it today. Tired, groggy, pooped...all of those. It could have something to do with the Brazilian version of Montezuma's revenge that I'm dealing with right now. Normally, it doesn't affect me like this. But I am making sure to drink lots of liquids (water and juices) so don't worry too much. It does make it a little harder to climb around on the scaffolding though. So enough about how I'm feeling...
It is rainy here. Well, not exactly at this moment, but in general. When it does start to rain here, you could drown just walking around outside. It's like walking into a hose being sprayed at your face. That's put a damper on Jacqui and me exploring. On Saturday, we spent all day in bed mostly. That was nice to get a day of rest. Then Sunday, Jacqui needed to put in a couple of hours of work and I went to go sit by the pool and read. A couple of people from my company came out to the pool to go swimming...right as it started raining
And some self-deprecating stuff...I had to go to the doctor to get a full checkup for entry to the mill here. They're a LOT more thorough than any other mill I've had to do this for. They did and ECG of my heart, scanned my brain, did auditory and visual tests, plus the standard invasive questions from the doc. It took about 3.5 hrs for me and one other guy to get through it all, and we even got to cut to the front of the queue! (Hope ya'll enjoy the pic)
After finishing at the doc's, I went and bought a dresser for the hotel room. The Brazilians apparently don't believe in drawers for clothes storage.
Alright, I'm out now

From the Farmacia, raining
. So we ended up just sitting under the lounge roof talking for a while. Jacqui and I did try to go out and get some supplies on Saturday, but everybody was closed by 14:00 except for one Farmacia. We had gone out between storms, but a strong one blew in right as we were about to check out. So we hung out for a while and then called the taxi to come pick us back up.And some self-deprecating stuff...I had to go to the doctor to get a full checkup for entry to the mill here.
