Well, they're off.  After a brief bike ride to the Burlington Ferry Dock, Alexis, Dave & Emily, caught the 10:30 a.m. ferry to Port Kent, NY, which is a one hour ride.  The name of the boat was Adirondack which is appropriate as the 'Dacks' are waiting for them.  

There is some concern of severe thunderstorms tonight so they will be watching the weather and may perhaps end up in a motel tonight -- no sense in getting all their gear soaked on the first night. 

I hope to hear from Alexis tonight with an update on how the day's trip went, so stay tuned!  /Carmen aka Madre
