Florence

Arrived in Florence after a 5 hour train ride form Naples. Went to the hostel where i had to wait for the person who ran in to come and let me in because no one is there after 1pm. A girl from Bratislava, Jana, was also waiting out the front. After an hour wait we got let inside the hostel. I wouldnt of called it a hostel though. More of a hotel, because no one was there. Just me, Jana and a kiwi who was leaving the next day. The kiwi has got to be one of the funniest guys i have ever met in my life. What was his name...Hasmish was his name, yeah thats right, hamish. I cant remember what we were talking about that was so funny, but we stayed up all night till like 4 am talking about funny stuff, like the word pofter. We were also making fun of Jana (21) but looks 30, for living in Bratislava where Miami Vice is the top new show. Wondering how she got to italy when the train station is still being built in bratislava a. Fonzies

.

Anyway, after a night of walking around when i arrived, the first big day in Florence i headed to the big museum, the ufitizi or whatever its called. Had lots of famous paintings and stuff. Had some cool davinci drawings and stuff he built too. Do you know he invented the pen? Not to mention the crane, machine gun, plane, etc, etc.

Anyway, after that i headed back to the hostel to have a little lie down. Jana was there. She is a student in italy. Her lease ran out at her last place and her italian bf who is also at uni didnt want her to disturb him while he was "studying", so he made her pay for a hostel. I headed to another museum, academia or some crap like that. The reason this place is worth going to is beacause baker is there. I mean the david statue. Went and saw that, pretty impressive i must say. You can see the veins in his hands and stuff and you can sit down and stare at his doodle for a half hour or so.

My nights were spent talking to jana and consuming the resources as the hostel. This was the hot chocolate machine. The worst/best thing to put in a hostel. 60 cents for a baby cup. I had 16 cups in 4 days. It was so cold in Florence b. The Ufitizi museum at night
b. The Ufitizi museum at night
. The coldest i have been so far, so hot chocolate was needed.

In the hostel there was a laptop for the net. Then they took it and i had to use public internet. 4 euros an hour. Attrocious. So thats why im behind. I still write the boring crap down in a book though.

One day i went out to Pisa, got some japenese girls to help me take some photos, i love the japenese, genius photographers (see you soon choc chip!!). One day i went out to San Gimignano. Where all these tower thingies are. (saw it on the great outdoors once). Thats all i have to say about that.

Everyone thinks im an Iti. Every single day someone comes up to me and goes Misquse!!. I replied with, do i look like a Fu*(en Iti to you!!. Well not really, i just looked extremelly puzzled and said sorry mate.

One night i went on a mission to find a movie cinema to see borat. Thats it!! Thats one thing i was talking to the kiwi about. Borat! I was so keen to see it i went scouting for a cinema. I walked around for 4 hours at night. Gove up and went on the net and found there were heaps right near the hostel. All the cinemas were onlying playing one movie. The Departed. See it just for mark warhlbergs lines. Great movie. See it Jesse!

I slept in every single day till like 11. It was so cold outside and the hostel had everything on a timer. So the heater and the hot chocolate machine shut of at 10 c. The duomo
c. The duomo
. But i found the timer and changed to 24 hour hot chocolate. I have to say, one thing that has been keeping a smile on my face every morning is the thought of jesse with his broken jaw. I think about it everytime i sit down on the edge of a bridge or something. Then i think of the time you tried to tackle janson, or was it burret.... and got nailed mid air.

Florence had some pretty in love with themselves people. One woman was crossing a road in front of me with her dog. She went between two parked cars as did i. She stopped next to the car. I thought it was hers. But nope, she just wanted to use the mirror and check her hair and apply some make up. I was stuck behind her. Bloody hell... Her dog was more done up than i was. Everday i look more hobo. Im trying to achieve the Derilique look. Florence is full of streets with walkways that can only fit 2 people wide and fences along the pathways. So its frustrating when you get stuck behind a slow walker.

Ive decided not to buy a eurail pass as well. Because its cheaper just to take the dodgy mid day trains instead. A train costs 18 euros from florence to venice. If you have a pass, it costs you 15 euros to reserve a ticket. Then you pay about 40 euros worth on your pass.

Said goodbye to Jana. Got my 3 hour trip to Venice

Stand by me is playing while i write this. Do you know that stephen king wrote that about himself. He was the main kid. There ya go aye. Thankyou internet movie database, and thankyou chuck norris. In naples, Walker texas ranger was on in italian. I dont know how i felt about that.
